It is very important that the children attend school every day and that they are punctual. Young children like to have a routine to feel secure, to enable them to settle to new things more quickly and to feel ‘on top’ of their work. Lateness causes disruption for the teacher and the rest of the class. We expect parents to support both the school and their child to ensure that children arrive well in time for registration.

The children play on the playground, or the field if it is dry. Playtimes are always supervised, usually by a teacher and an assistant. We have a variety of apparatus around the playground for the children to play on. A free piece of fruit or vegetable is given to every child in the Foundation Unit and Key Stage 1, free milk is available to all children in the Foundation Unit and parents can provide fruit or vegetables for older children if they wish.
